Additional Information

Aluminium square edge profiles are perfect for forming protection to the edge of a SureSet Resin Bound surface. Besides the protective function, the Square edge profiles also meet the highest decorative requirements. They provide clean transitions and limits, e.g. forming a day joint, separating different colours and producing a crisp edge to finish off the SureSet surface. They are available in both rigid and flexible versions so that both straight and curved edges can be catered for and are available in depths of 12.5, 15, 18, 22, 30 and 40mm. The profiles are supplied in lengths of 2.5m and can be cut by hand with a hacksaw.

Properties:

Square edge profiles in aluminium are used in applications where no unusual chemicals are expected to be used. Careful handling of cement materials is required to avoid corrosion. All residues of mortar, tile cement or joint cement are to be immediately removed from all visible surfaces because aluminium is sensitive to alkaline solutions. Square edge profiles of anodised aluminium are specially treated and therefore the surface is usually not subject to change. The visible surfaces however, have to be protected against any cement materials. Damage can occur because of scratching or abrasive objects.
