In the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of eastern France is Vénissieux, Lyon. 'Automotion Vénissieux’ is a road where the World’s major car manufacturers have showrooms - like a huge multi-brand car outlet.

As part of their Global Expansion Plans Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) secured a site for a new showroom on Automotion Vénissieux, due to open in May 2016.

Unable to find a local supplier/installer of resin bound paving, in March 2016, the JLR team in Paris contacted us. With the site due for completion in just a matter of weeks, their enquiry was urgent.

With the need to find a reliable supplier/installer of a resin bound paving system suitable for one the World’s most prestigious car manufacturers as quickly as possible, JLR Paris contacted us.

Our Operations Team and Overseas Manager went into top gear - quickly and efficiently organising the delivery of stock and travel arrangements for a six man Installation Team.   Over two days at the beginning of April, 407m² of 6mm Norwegian Pearl was laid using a combination of hand floating and power float to the front and side of the brand new building.

SureSet resin bound paving was laid directly up to the external showroom wall, open tree pits, automatic gate track, drainage channel with movement joints installed at the end of the gate tracks and natural bricks around the recognisable Jaguar Land Rover sign.

The movement joint was bespoke, a 15mm aluminium speckled infill expansion joint colour matched to our Norwegian Pearl by Dural UK. Making this expansion joint completely unique for JLR.

With the resin bound paving expertly installed and beautiful cars gleaming away in the showroom, when our hardworking Team left JLR were awaiting the installation of the external cladding, for the project to be completed in time.
