Firstly we would like to thank all of our installers for an outstanding 2021! We are so pleased to have a network of SureSet Partners and Approved Installers and we applaud their determination to succeed.
Here are the winners…

- Approved Installer of the Year 2021 was awarded to Clear Pave Surfacing Ltd.
- Approved Installer of the Year 2021 (runner up) was awarded to Debmat Surfacing Limited.
- Approved Installer of the Year 2021 (runner up) was awarded to Perma Stone Paving Ltd.
- Exceptional Customer Service 2021 was won by David Crowder Landscapes Ltd.
- Exceptional Best Newcomer 2021 went to The TP Group.
We changed one award slightly this year to allow all installations the opportunity to win an award...
Installation of the Year 2021
- 1st place goes to HiSkin S.L.R based in Italy and won 1st place for a prestigious resin bound public realm project in Piazza Malatesta, the main square within the historic centre of Rimini.
- 2nd place was voted to The TP Group they are based in Chelmsford, Essex and they entered two resin bound projects, the first was Mill Hill in London and the second which won the award was the installation at Maidstone Road in Charing.
- 3rd place is Coatech that are situated in Rhyl, Denbighshire their resin bound installation was for a residential cottage and their driveway.
All installations that were entered will appear in our case studies section of the website.

This year we have opened one award to all contractors that have used SureSet for their own project installation(s)
Criteria for entry:
- The installation must have been completed between 1 January 2021 and 01 January 2022
- SureSet should be an integral part of the installation
To enter please send:
- Photographs of before, during, and the completed installation
- Site plans
- Full postal address
- A named contact
- The SureSet project number
Any additional supporting information, which can include:
- Details of any difficulties experienced during the project
- How you met or exceeded the clients’ brief
- Any written comments or testimonials
- Evidence of any positive environmental impact
- Examples of local media exposure
- Videos taken
- Multiple entries will be accepted.
Judging process:
- All applications will be judged on the above criteria and supporting information.
- A shortlist will be drawn up and those shortlisted notified.
Prizes:
1st Prize The option of £250 Cash or £500 towards any order of SureSet products
2nd Prize A luxury Hamper plus Resin bound equipment
3rd Prize A luxury hamper
All three winners will also receive a
- A marketing package
- A Trophy
- Certificate
- Plus £500 to spend on Grantex Surfacing products

SureSet Approved Installer Awards 2019
The SureSet Approved Installers awards welcome our network to enter and be recognised for their efforts annually. SureSet celebrates its 23rd year within the industry, and our awards continue to show hardworking businesses with high standards at their best.
Winning a SureSet Award gives our installers an opportunity to change the way their company is perceived and used to further business connections.

Approved Installer of the year 2019 was awarded to Lovelock Landscapes.
1st runner up 2019 was awarded to Perma Stone Paving.
Installation of the Year goes to T G Johnson Building and Landscapes Ltd.
Outstanding Customer Service was won by David Crowder Landscapes Ltd.
Best Newcomer went to Permeable Paving Solutions Ltd.
Approved Installers Networking Event 2018
On April 16th, 2018 SureSet hosted their second Approved Installer networking day. This year the event was opened up to all our Approved Installers and Global Partners who were invited to join us at the National Self Building and Renovating Centre (NSBRC) where SureSet have a permanent exhibition stand. The event kicked off at 11 am with teas and coffees, introductions and a chance to hand out name badges and event schedules. With the endless bad weather, we have all had recently and the outlook of a far more favourable week for installing, some of our Approved Installers were not able to make it in favour of installation jobs that had started to back up, but there was still a healthy turn out of our old and new installers.
After welcome speeches from our Commercial Director Ben Shave and Head of Marketing Yvonne Holloway, it was over to our first guest speaker, Lee Cockerill from Barbour ABI. Lee gave a presentation on the Barbour ABI lead source system and was happy to answer questions from our UK and Global installers about the benefits of Barbour ABI to their businesses.
Following on from Barbour ABI was SureSet’s John Fletcher who spoke about our 2017 Elite Approved Installer award winners, who announced towards the end of last year.
Perma Stone Paving won the Outstanding Customer Service award for their incredible 80% return of customer questionnaires, with over 90% of these offering nothing less than full marks.
The Project of the Year Award went to David Crowder Landscapes Ltd for a driveway project they completed which required a fair amount of regulating prior to the resin bound paving is installed, the final result was as close to perfection as you would expect from one of our Elite Installers.
The main Approved Installer of the Year Award went to Gibson Gardens Ltd which was based on sales and conversions, customer feedback, timely finance and admin. Gibson Gardens completed some of our favourite projects from last year and also some of our most popular projects with customer enquiries.
The final award was the SureSet Spotlight Award which was won by Lockwood Landscapes for a long sweeping residential driveway they completed. A stand out feature from the project was an area to the front of the property, which instead of installing a step to the front door the resin bound materials were regulated to form a gentle rise to the doorstep and thus not breaking up the seamless, smooth and sweeping lines of the driveway.
After the awards came the lunch break and a chance for the Approved Installers to network some more and discuss the morning's session. Dural was in attendance too and spoke with the AI’s about their edging systems and flooring solutions. This then followed neatly into a live demo of some new products SureSet have been trialling with fantastic results.
Firstly, was a new ‘hover trowel’ product we have introduced that is designed to be run over hand floated surfaces to remove any imperfections and trowelling marks and improve the finished product. All our Approved Installers were keen to see the tool in action and were all impressed with the results.
The second new product SureSet wanted to show was their resin batching van. As well as eliminating plastic buckets from the installation process it has also improved the efficiency and speed of the installations. Our team have perceived the new machine in a positive light and expressed how helpful it has proven to be.
Once the Approved Installers had a chance to see both innovative installation tools in action and any questions were answered the second half of our event resumed with a presentation from Giant Peach Digital’s James Read, Founder of Giant Peach, discussed content creation, digital branding, website design, strategy and digital marketing.
The final guest speaker of the day was the owner and creator of PavingExpert.com, Tony McCormack. Tony has over 60 years of experience in the paving industry and every person in the room would have taken something away from his talk on sub-bases, bases, edging restraints and drainage. His knowledge of all things paving is second to none and anyone who is seeking impartial advice on any paving-related question should make pavingexpert.com their first port of call.
Once Tony had finished his presentation it was time for more refreshments and a chance to provide our Approved Installer’s with new SureSet sales folders, complete some interviews and answer any final questions they had.
The overall feedback received about the event was that all the presentations were beneficial to our installers, the demo of our two innovative tools were insightful and everyone left the event feeling they had learned something new.
SureSet Approved Installer Awards 2017
We have a network of Approved Installers supporting our in-house Installation Team with residential and commercial resin bound paving projects.
In order to maintain the high standards associated with SureSet resin bound installations all potential Approved Installers undertake full training; which includes one day at our head office and two days on-site. They also have to provide evidence of a professionally run operation; from pricing through to practical completion and the ability to offer a complete installation package including groundwork.
Once accepted as a SureSet Approved Installer, we offer continued sales, technical and marketing support and carry out regular assessments for quality and auditing purposes.
So, when you choose a SureSet Approved Installer you can be assured that they are well trained and supported.
