Indoor Pool Surround, Hampshire

In a Hampshire town, this beautiful bungalow has been the family home for around 53 years.

Over the years’ the bungalow has been extended to accommodate the changing needs of a growing family.

Installed around 35 years ago, the indoor swimming pool is now a firm favourite with visiting grandchildren.

Approximately four years ago, the homeowners embarked on a refurbishment of the pool area.

With the ceiling and tiles replaced, problems were found in the swimming pool and despite efforts to repair an ongoing leak the decision was taken to replace all the pipework and mechanisms. This caused considerable delays to the project.

Once the repairs to the indoor pool had been carried out, the refurbishment project was able to continue.

Neptune Pools, who had been working on the pool recommended SureSet resin bound paving to their customer as the ideal surface to replace the existing brown tiles.

Using a concrete primer, it was possible to lay SureSet on top of the tiles which meant less mess and a quicker installation.

The choice of Crushed Marble in Buttermilk has created a bright, warm contemporary finish to the indoor pool.

On the crisp sunny day that these photos were taken, the low autumn sun was streaming through the windows; dancing daintily off the surface of the water and mirror.

The new pool surround has created a non-slip, warm, easy to clean surface that is completely comfortable underfoot.
